2020 Savannah Country Day

Congratulations to the Mustang swimmers for their performances at the Savannah Country Day Invitational last Friday night. The men (621 points), women (588 points), and team (1209) won all their divisions of the meet. The closest competitor was Richmond Hill High School, with their men (379), women (328) and team (707)coming in second place.

The boys won 6 events and finished in the TOP 5 19 times, while making 7 new state qualifying times. The boys won the meet by over 240 points, out of 19 teams. The boys medley and 400 free relay team of Ben McClain, Brett Reason, Connor Haigh, and Zach Lowe won first place. Connor Haigh won the 200 IM and 100 Breast, Brett Reason won the 100 Free, and Ben McClain won the 100 Backstroke. David Ware, Conor Enabnit, Adam Ware, and Mitch Jaquish all made state qualifying times in their individual events, while Sam Wells and Cory McNeir made state cuts as part of relays.

The girls won one event and placed in the TOP 5 17 times, while winning the meet by 260 points. The girls team was led by Brinson Griffith, Jenna Ardagna, Joy Beth Kidd, Jules Koebel, Carly Capozza, Harper Scott, Parker Lee, Liz Carlin, Madison Soucie, Madison Caren, and Anna van Eekeren.

This Saturday the swimming and diving program will recognize their 25 seniors at the 12th Annual Mountain Madness meet at 6pm at the Cobb Central Aquatic Center.
